Gary Zdenek: Creative Director/Principal
January 2001 marked the beginning of ZiNK’s infant child, Gary Z Design. A veteran of the advertising and design industry, Gary formed a company that gave his clients the qualify of work he demanded of himself — Creative. Distinctive. Effective. His work spans a broad range of industries that include real estate, entertainment, utilities, hospitality, technology, food and beverage, medical and more. His work has been published in various trade publications and he has earned awards from the advertising, design and video industries.
Steven Martin: Creative Director/Designer
Steven founded his own firm, Martin Design Associates over 20 years ago. He is responsible for new business development that has resulted in an impressive array of varied clients nationwide, including Edwards Lifesciences, Fluor, Beckman Coulter and Bausch & Lomb. His primary focus is developing thematic and design approaches to projects and overseeing the design development. In the past 5 years, he has partnered with ZiNK on projects ranging from annual report design and development to collateral for both the medical and technology industries.
Mike Smith: Writer, director, producer
Former radio news reporter and public relations professional in his native Buffalo, NY, Mike parlayed his passion for ideas into copywriting and creative director positions at ad agencies in New York and Southern California in the 1980s and 1990s. Since then, he's written and produced over 600 TV spots, radio commercials and corporate videos for various clients. The executive producer/creative director of Beard Boy Productions, a company he founded in 1994. Also a spare-time author, Mike's written feature stories for National Lampoon, National Geographic Kids, Men's Exercise, Los Angeles Times, and the Orange County Register to name a few. He's also helped publish a comic book and a children's book parody based on a satirical character he created: Pete the PO'd Postal Worker. Mike is called upon by ZiNK for his creative writing, client consultation and multi-media projects.
Pia Tinsley: Creative Director
When it comes to solving communication challenges, Pia is the go-to person. Designing smart creative that helps clients prosper is at the heart of her ambition. With years of experience in the hospitality industry, she is a specialist in restaurant marketing, communications and branding. Turning promotional requests into marketing magic, Pia personifies the philosophy of ZiNK. Dedication. Versatility. Personalized service.
Scott Marsh: Art Director/Designer
Scott has over 30 years experience in multi-channel marketing for consumer and B2B clients. He brings particularly deep experience in design for healthcare and medical device marketing. A graduate of The Columbus College of Art & Design, Scott lends his hand to the ZiNK creative team in branding projects for medical device companies.

East Coast native and California local, Daniel has been a working as a professional photographer in the LA area for over 20 years. He is fun to work with and easy to be around. His style is all his own. He shows great care in his approach to our clients specific needs and invests in their success. His pictures truly do tell a story, which makes him a valuable asset here at ZiNK.

Allen has since been a guest-lecturer at his alma mater and taught at California College of the Arts.
